Adventures

While I have not always chosen the easiest path, I rarely deliberately go looking for the hardest way to go. However, there are times when interesting things happen around me. It is not my fault.

Several weeks ago my husband and I noticed an odd underground gurgle. The ground shook, the noise was unlike anything we had ever heard. I GOOGLED IT. Everything we found indicated it must have been the septic. We had it pumped. It was a good thing, it had been a long time and we avoided damage and septic failure.

A few days ago we noticed the sound was back. It is a gurgle, swirling water, something happening underground. I found a hole. We put a broken flower pot over it so I could find it again. Today I stuck a reflector on a pole made to mark the drive in deep snow. It’s reflector is above ground level, but we can see water in the hole.

Shawn stood t the ready, if the ground collapsed, but nothing happened.

In a few weeks, I’ll report on the adventure of the gurgle. If you have ideas, feel free to comment. We are hoping it is not an underground spring.

They say writers are either living adventures worthy of a story of telling a story, worthy of an adventure.

Read to a happy place, and maybe tell me what book you are reading. I am looking for something new.
