Working

As I am sure I have mentioned, I was able to get a really cool day job, promoting the idea of solar systems… not the kind that rotates around a sun, but panels that sit on a roof and produce power. You have undoubtedly heard about the push for alternative clean energy.

It is fun and while I am wandering about talking to people I am collecting interesting tidbits to add to the world of NewEarth. From conspiracy theorists to people who know nothing at all about science, but think they do, humans are interesting creatures. We all work very hard to explain what we do not understand and for many the fantastic is so much more attractive than the complicated mundane.

After teaching for so many years, talking with strangers and scheduling meetings is not the most stressful of circumstances. However I do manage to put a lot of miles on my feet as I wander.

Today I was imagining what someone would be promoting as they wandered through the Combined Territory Market. Would it be a new food? Would it be communication with the planet, some hidden message? Would it be real or a lie wrapped in something attractive? How would Grabon and Heron react to a stranger promoting something new and different in their market? Would they feel threatened or would they invite the stranger up to the nest and listen to what he or she had to say?
