Visitors

My friend is visiting from Alaska. She is here with her daughter and we are enjoying a week filled with fun and play before she goes back to her classroom and I sink back into the world of NewEarth. Yesterday we went and bought 75lbs of fruit to mess with; 25lbs of peaches, cherries and grapes a piece. We are cooking today and over the weekend, canning and baking and generally messing up my kitchen. Last night we made an upside down peach cake, peach, cherries and grape Tea rue, rum soaked peaches and cherries compote and peaches and cream. Today we are going to try different chutney, butter and salsa recipes. Of course we are also infusing water and soaking in the sunshine and company.
