Visiting

Every other month or so we do our best to visit my parents. Sometimes it’s for a singular large project, sometimes for fun and holidays, other times we like to help out with chores and things. If my husband and I are no spring chickens, you can guess the age frame of my folks. So this is our spring trip and I brought along some plants I had started from seed. Peppers, beans and things so my dad and I can put in a low maintenance vegetable garden for them.

It is our first time using a weed shield. It should be quite entertaining as we figure it out. It seems a little like making a bed, the cutting a hole to put thepillow in place. We are not convinced it will work, but we figure it is worth a try. If it happens to be successful for his small garden, I may try it for my veggies.
