The Hunter

The story of Brom and Mox is delayed again, I got a note from Jo my poor overstressed editor. She has not had a chance to even look at it for the past week. Her last installment covered only 40 pages.

She is hoping that by the end of this month or possibly the middle of March she will have her ducks in a row, her eggs in a basket or her proverbial stuff together and can focus on book 7. Thank goodness she is not doing a shoddy poor job, but I do wish I could help her carve out some time for my project.

Anyway, I appreciate everyone being patient. I will work as much as I can as fast as I can when she is able to do her part. The last 100 pages still need a first pass; then I do rewrites and changes. Then we need her to get through the whole second pass and I make those changes before I start formatting. It all takes time and work to make the magic happen.

Someone recently suggested hiring a different editor, one with a better work ethic. That does sound reasonable on the surface, however to edit book 7 correctly he or she would have to start with Gordon’s pride. I would need to get to know them and I am not as amiable as some people when it comes to my characters, my plot, and ideas. No, the better idea, I think, is to get Jo through this difficult time and she will do a great job on the books.

So to tease you just a bit, the council comes back to the Combined Territories to have their meeting and causes a problem large enough that most of the clan plots revenge on them. Hanna’s idea wins and they all act on it.
