The Gibbers

The first gibber made his contribution when Kev first speaks to one in Gordon’s Pride and he finds out someone has been in Hanna’s small cottage. Listening to Heron and the boy discuss the small creatures and the gossip they carry from tree to tree, you get the sense that they are the busybodies of the forest. Trissy mentions them as she makes her way through Heron’s woods the first time, noting that they are passing the news of their mating. From book to book, the gibbers are an integral part of the natural world of NewEarth, carrying news, collecting and passing information and noticing far more than most dragons and humans expect.
