Territory Dragons

If you ask Grabon, being a territory dragon is simply a matter of having branches on your power line. That is definitely an over simplification since many clan members of the Combined Territories has branching power lines, yet none of them choose to take on the role of territory dragon.

Grabon and Heron made a study of the role of territory dragon. They examined the rules, the different styles. The unlikely pair traveled from territory to territory, and Grabon was encouraged to ask questions and learn from everyone. In the end, Grabon valued the input of his human companion and friend as much or even more than the huge variety of other territory dragons they met.

The Continental Council has an interest in Grabon because of his power, his friendships, and his unusual perspective. He easily gathers powerful people to his territory and allows them to earn their place by doing service to the territory, thereby making it better for everyone.

For a young, newly mature territory dragon, Grabon has already done some remarkable things. By the end of book 6, and going into book 7, readers will find out more about how the council sees the mighty Grabon and his human companion.
