Taxes
Like every other American, I take a day out of my life, collect my paperwork, go over it twice and go and see the tax man, hoping and praying that I can afford to pay the taxes my government thinks I owe. The last thing anyone wants is to challenge the IRS. After all they have the power to ruin you. So I dutifully collect and add up figures, look over statements and check the bank. It is an odd sort of yearly ritual, one that there is a great cry and fuss from our legislature as they change and tweak the rules. I don’t know about you, but I merely want to know what I owe and if the things I need I can still pay for. It would be nice if the government took care of what it was supposed to do as well.
