Sunshine and Frost
Yesterday I spent a good chunk of the day outside trimming bushes away from the house, cleaning out brambles. We cut up the yard debris and put it in bins to be disposed of later My dad was nice enough to come help me. We had fun and got a lot of work done.
This morning I look out and see frost on the sunroom roof. Yesterday I had been planning to put out some wild flower seeds. My dad who has been growing gardens in this area for a long time suggested I wait. I am so glad I listened.
The weather this time of year is unpredictable. Will it be warm and sunny, cold and rainy? Wait a few minutes, it might still snow. It is hard to dress for the day, hard to plan the garden, and waiting for good weather is harder still. We watch as the farmers are plowing fields and we want to get started too.
At least with sun shining afternoons I can get some of the outside work done. Yesterday, I discovered and unearthed our hose spigot and utility meters. Today I am helping my dad with a downed branch at his place. I just wish it would quite freezing and let us plant.
