Staying Busy

Have you noticed that the characters in my books are almost continuously engaged in one productive activity or another? That is because I live my life that way, dedicated to whatever activity I happen to be doing.

I spend a lot of my time cooking, cleaning, gardening, writing, reading, preparing for work, working, care-taking for others, and caring for myself. When I have time to do something adventurous and fun, I grab it. Like all the characters in my books, I also make an adventure out of living, surviving, and fun is a part of every day because I seek it out.

I don’t need long vacations, but I enjoy them. If I have enough days strung together I lock myself in a room with a computer and let my imagination fly. That was how I came up with the idea of NewEarth to begin with.
