Stalling

I swear I am not trying to pin down time and make it stop running out from under me, I simply like the glitz and lights of the fiber optic tree and the spinning pulse of our holiday lights. I had been thinking I would put them away this weekend. In fact I helped my father corral his decorations, Redbox and put it all away. But when I came home, I turned on the lights and grinned. I want a couple of more days, probably a week before I have time again in my schedule.

Am I the only one reluctant to put an end to this holiday season? Has everyone else packed up and put away their decorations? It would be different if I decorated for Valentine’s Day, but I don’t and now we go into the dark and gloomy months of deeper winter with less flash and color. An extra week won’t hurt anything, and after this, I have to wait for early spring when I start the seeds in the greenhouse.

So really I am stalling, but an extra week won’t hurt. 😁
