Spring Leaves

Even as we are still playing tag with freezing temps some nights, I have a few leaves showing green. Most of the branches are in bud or bare, but a few spring 🍁on the trees are actually making an appearance here in the Midwest. Now if only we can keep it from snowing, but alas I do not have a big enough hair dryer to warm my small part of the world.

I have two rhubarb that were new last year. Both are coming back, which is exciting. The first is looking strong, the other the new leaves are smaller, not as firm. If Spring is too rough it might not make it into summer. I think I’ll put a plastic bowl over it at night and see if that helps.
