Shoveling Ice
Ice managed to cover everything, more than an inch thick and making walking, driving, and stopping somewhat difficult. Cleaning the sidewalk, steps and the area around the vehicle seemed like a good place to start. We have a handy dandy tool. It is a tile scraper, used to scrape up tile floors. It lifts up ice, breaks it into pieces so it can be shoveled off. I love the tile scraper, but it is only six inches wide. I tried other tools, metal shovels and plastic and I went back to the tile scraper. If you need to scrape ice off of concrete or blacktop, pick up a tile scraper, spray it with cooking spray and let it dry before using. Ice and snow slide off.
