Seat Belt Trouble
I don’t know about anybody else, but seatbelts like to creep around my neck and threaten to strangle me. This happens when I am a passenger and when I am driving so it may have to do with the shape of my body. In any case it is not a new problem and it is not anything needing an urgent solution. We have seatbelt hooks, buckles, clips, etc, but one way or another problems arise.
Shawn, my ever inventive husband, partner, tormentor and friend, has a new idea. He suggested using a two headed nail. Now I am not familiar with those, as a matter of fact, I am thinking at the time that he is leading me up for a snipe hunt. A twoheaded nail sounds like a mythical device similar to a sky hook. He assures me that it is real and off to the hardware store we go but alas, no such nail is there.
In my mind I am thinking a Y shaped nail, two heads, or a push me pull you nail. Once Shawn realizes that my imagination has taken over, he tells me that a two headed nail is pointy on the point end, and headed on the other with a bump to keep the nail from sinking all the way in, so it is easily removed.
Needless to say, he has not found one nor do I understand what he thinks it will do to secure the seatbelt, but he has some plan in mind. I suggested a rivet, but evidently that won’t work.
Does anybody else have this problem?
