Rough Day

We have been pet owners for many years, all of our lives together, as a matter of fact. It is always incredibly sad and difficult to make that final decision for a beloved pet.

Our poor Jethro was struggling to walk. He had lost the ability to climb into our bed and he was able to take less and less steps. He was continuing to lose weight and his bowls ran like water no matter what we did. The call to the vet was a hard decision and one we second, third and tenth thought throughout the day. In the end his needs won out and we held him and stroked his head as he breathed his last.

Love of a pet, is love, and while our hearts are broken with our loss our spirits are relieved that we spared him pain. Everyone we know has been wonderfully supportive through this difficult time and we thank everyone for their expressions of sympathy.

He may leave your side, but he will never leave your heart.
