Red Balloon
An unexpected red Mylar Balloon blew into our lives this morning. At first report it entertained the farm dogs, being chased across the front yard until it managed to escape around the corner by the door of the barn. Itβs shiny red heart shape caught the wind and it danced, confusing my husband until he saw it blow up into a tree. He assumed it was caught and out of the way, but a few minutes later it began moving branch to branch. Eventually the wind caught it just right and blew it into the field. Sixty or so cows, watched as it danced on the air, shining and twisting as it bumped along. Calves and mamas gave chase, others ran away. It was a scene of chaos until a large gust of wind took it sailing farther away. All cows watched as it landed softly on the field just out of reach.
