Recipes
Lots of Hanna’s cooking are things I learned to cook as a child, or things I cooked during other phases of my life. Many of the recipes are straight from my mother’s kitchen.
The tea recipes are of my own creation, or something I have bought and recreated out of whole ingredients. A fall favorite is instant tea, mixed with tang, add cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg to taste and sugar, lots of sugar.
Now you have a mix of Russian tea for cold days, make by the cup or we used to mix it in the kettle and set it on the house warming stove along with a few mugs. You would come in, take off the dripping wet outer layers, shed boots and pick up a warmed mug, pour the scented liquid and sip. Aside from it scenting the entire house, it somehow made us all warmer.
