Pond

We stopped by a local pond today to see the egrets. They are such cool, snow-white birds. As we pulled off, they looked up and took off, but I got a few amazing pics before they flew out of sight.

Spring brings new birds, insects, frogs, and so much new growth. Mud, of course, bipolar weather, but new life is allowed to be messy. As I listen to predictions of locusts and swarms, I think about NewEarth and the swarms that threatened all the crops.

When I was in College, at Blackburn, in the middle of a corn field, we had a swarm of locusts come through. They ate everything green, and covered windows and doors. You could not walk without squishing them under foot. Their music was louder than most cars back in the day. I hope this will not be that dramatic.

I am thinking of investing in a bug zapper so we can still use the deck. We’ll have to see what happens. In the mean time, think good thoughts, enjoy the season of rebirth, and read something amazing. Let it transport you to a happy place.
