Politics Aside

It is very easy to get caught up in political ideology, especially when our world is made up of sides, shades of light and darkness for every issue. People in power always deceive, always mislead, and curry the favor of the rich, powerful, and connected. Often to the detriment of those with less.

My truth is I want to live a life of meaning and contribution. When I get sick, I want to get well. I want the people I care about to eat well, have a good place to sleep, and meaningful work to do. I hope to conduct myself with no shame to myself, my family, or the people I am connected with.

Most people have similar agendas. They do their best to meet their own needs and the needs of those they care about. So put politics aside and remember that no matter what country you claim, what part of this planet you plant your feet and your family tree, we all want very similar things. People are people. But as we all know, some people… well we all need to look out for some people.

Bad people are in every country, every color, every faith, and they enjoy the pain and suffering of others. So look out for them, protect yourself from them, and stay safe. We all need to do what we can to keep those people out of power as much as possible, because they are bad for the rest of us.

Instead of arguing against ideas and possibilities, maybe it’s time for us to discuss new ideas and possibilities. Let us focus on hope, the future, and ways to improve our lives and the lives of others. I am tired of fighting against the hate of humanity. Let’s turn that around and focus on the hopeful future instead.
