My wonderful and talented niece was in a musical this evening. Naturally, as many of us who could- went and admired her growing and amazing talents in so many theater areas. She sings, dances, taps, speaks, acts, and adds so much to the production that it is astonishing. I would brag on her if she had a flat affect and sang everything off key, but the truth is her talent is amazing and clearly did not come from my side of the family. She is an amazing young woman with a bright future filled with many choices.

I also have two nephews I am very fond of and proud to claim. One is married and helping children become all they can be. The other is getting ready to graduate high school, is working, playing sports and trying on adulthood for the first time. They are both amazing people.

I am fortunate that my brothers have such talented, kind, and  amazing children. The cherry on the cake has always included that the kids Shawn and I helped raise have all turned out well and gone on to live admirable lives. In case ai don’t say it enough, thanks!
