Mox

As far as characters go, Mox is a favorite of mine. Her talent is amazing, luring disease away from people into herself so she can kill it with toxic energy. Her understanding is less focused on the mystery and more grounded in the practice and practicality of it. She slept through the scary parts, because, hello really scary to be poisoned and feel it rush through your system with a healer’s awareness.

Of course there is so much more to her character, like how she responds to Starseth. No fuss, no big gesture, she simply includes her. Mox doesn’t seem surprised by the head decoration, the scarves, the games. What catches her attention is the food and the complex relationships within the clan.

Mox is articulate, educated, dedicated, and lonely. The life that Brom offers her is more than she can resist. Yet she is worried that she will not have a full position in the clan. Well her bathing nest idea really spun that notion right around. From the time she articulated the idea, she was no longer an outsider. While she is becoming accustomed to territory, they are all looking for ways to include her. It worked out well!
