Mia And Pit
Mia is mate to Pit, but before that, she was a well known storyteller, accepted in a clan and given all the respect and fondness that someone in her position deserves. However, Mia had met Pit, had known him well enough to know he was her possible mate, he had tendrils on his power line and he refused to claim a territory of his own. Infuriated with her possible mate’s choices, she told him to go awandering, grow up and come back when he had accepted what the planet intended and claimed a territory of his own. Then she would gladly relocate and join him.
In the back of her mind, she had agonized over the choice, but she had let him see none of that, convinced that if she had given in, she would have been uprooted and awandering until she was too old to fly. Pit was a fighter, a male who had awandered for too long already and showed no signs of being willing to settle. By refusing the bond, she hoped she was giving him a reason to find a permanent place, for both of them.
As the cycles passed and he had not returned she had resigned herself to a lonely existance. But she would occasionally hear of him, a challenge win, or a story about something he was involved in. She had lost all hope that he even remembered her, when he finally came back and held her hand until the bond started, knocking her off her tail. When she had come back to herself, he had looked as shaken as she felt.
Two days later they had started flying back to Grabon’s territory and she had insisted that they build their nest together before she met his clan. She had to master the language of humans quickly. Imagine having a whole new species in the clan and she was the storyteller who could not communicate with them.
