Kitchen Chair

If you spend any time at my house, you realize pretty quickly that we spend a lot of time in the kitchen. So the chairs in the kitchen are very important. The table we picked up at an antique store and it came with three chairs. Shawn uses an office chair and lately I have dragged in one of our king size porch chairs to sit on.

I could make that work for a while, but Shawn’s office chair has slowly been falling apart ever since the move. It started with shedding the buttons. All those filler pieces have been popping out and landing on the floor. We pick them up and push them into place, but like this evening he shed four of them. To make things interesting, if he sits in the chair for more than 30 minutes it slowly sinks, whooshing down to the lowest setting. That setting by the way leaves my disabled husband with his knees halfway to his head. It becomes impossible to get up on his own and even with assistance, the chair rolls backwards.

I told him today we need to find him a new chair. Based on what he didn’t say, but his reluctance to look at options, I think he isn’t sure he can part with the old one. Something tells me I am going to have to place the order and slide the new one into place.

I found one that was blue and black and really cool. I dismissed the one with LED lights and a vibrator on the back and seat. I can just imagine what he would say about that!😂
