Dragons
When I first got the idea to write about dragons, I knew I didn’t want some snake like, fire breathing monsterish dragon, so I needed to do something with that. I had already developed the character of Hanna and I wanted him (dragon) to be her friend. Yep that wan an interesting process until I…
Fodder for Books
Life and experiences are fodder for books. You know the expression, “What doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger?” Among writers it should say if it kills you, your friends will use it in their next novel, if it doesn’t you have first dibs, but act quickly. Writers use expressions, the ones they hear, the ones…
Connections To The Planet
One of the challenges in writing this series is figuring out all the ways an individual can connect to the planet and what talents should result. If people have future ideas of things I should try for future books, feel free to leave me a message. I am not promising to use them, but you…
I Liked It.
I thought the book was interesting, different from the typical girl story and told from both the male and female point of view. It did leave me interested in knowing what happens next in the territory and I understand the next book is coming out in January, can’t wait.
Crisp Cool Day
It is amazing how all at once leaves start to fall and the air takes on the crisp feel of autumn. Happy fall everyone!

Love hearing from readers
When you create a world, it takes a lot of thinking time. Hearing from readers is a great thing. Tell me what you liked, what made you happy or angry or even made you cry. Don’t be afraid to leave comments, I promise not to judge.
Writing days and reading days
In my world there are two kinds of days. The ones where I am reading and the ones where I am writing. If I am reading, I burn through the pages quickly whether it is a Feehan, Roberts, Howel or Howard and then start on the next. When I am writing it is different, more…
Athena
The art on the website is done exclusively by Athena. She has done a wonderful job capturing the images in my mind and getting them into a visual platform that can be viewed by the world. If you are curious about what a cattle looks like or a puton, go to the glossary. She has…
Weather
After spending 20 years in Alaska, weather takes on a personality all its own and I tried to bring that into my stories. Here in the Midwest, where we are now, we find it all confusing. The rules have all changed and the moods of the systems are vastly different. I remember when we first…
Book 2
For those who read Gordon’s Pride and immediately start asking questions, let me tell you this much…. Heron’s Bonds is about Heron finding his mate while Grabon’s territory begins to develop. No, things do not go smoothly. No, being a companion to a dragon does not really help him. Yes, there is a lot more…
The best people
I have some of the best friends and family members, who are so very supportive and patient. Most people who know me have always known I was a writer. Many of them have heard about my books, my characters, even certain scenes. I spoke with a good friend last night and all she could say…
