Invited Company
Have you ever faced the quandary of how much to do when you invite people to come and eat with you? Shawn and I like finger food, little things that you sample and lots of them. The problem is that many people don’t know how to handle this type of spread. Typically I serve ten to fifteen things, sometimes more, rarely less. We had the unfortunate luck of inviting someone a few years ago who took all of something, because they liked it, which was great, but it left a hole in the menu. Luckily I had a few extras in the category to fill in. Tonight I am doing it again and because the numbers are small the quantity is small. It makes me nervous, but these people are adventurous so I worry less.
