Interview with AEM and the Holiday

Did you see the interview?

I was very impressed with all of it. Hopefully people found it entertaining.

Thanksgiving was a huge, vibrant success with everyone participating, cooking, cleaning, shopping, running here and there and in the end we all sat down as a family and devoured an enormous amount of imaginative, flavorful, and carefully prepared foods. It was awesome! Especially the salted Carmel cheesecake my 15 year-old niece made from scratch.

Yesterday we shopped till we dropped, beginning the rush toward the rest of the holiday season. We even managed to bring the niece along in the afternoon and then drop her off before we slid into our bed and dove into the first of the holiday comas.

We looked, we saw, we purchased, and dragged home more than our share of discounted merchandise… and we have no regrets. The crowds were friendly, wonderfully polite and considerate. Everyone we met was kind.

Occasionally we encounter a shopper who makes it all about them, whining and complaining, but otherwise, it all goes smoothly. Over the years we have learned to smile and pass the whiners, leaving them to their sympathetic ears while the rest of us move on and enjoy the experience.

For the first time in years, Shawn and I managed to get more than 90% of what was on our list. Not only was it in stock and available, but it was priced as advertised. We were amazed!
