Humans
One of the interesting facts about the humans in my stories: most have brown skin, some have brown hair, most are curly haired. Heron has silver hair brought on by grief, Trissy has two symmetrical silver streaks, also brought on by grief. While my dragons have a multitude of markings, horns, ridges, and features highlighted by colors, the humans in comparison are very bland. In a later book I introduce a red haired human woman. That makes her highly visible, or at least it should.
Do humans like to all look the same? Of course they do, and many others are more comfortable if people dress according to station or class. In my world they dress according to family. The Farmers have their way of dressing, the Miners have their own uniform. The Woodsmen have a particular style of shirt but in Grabon’s territory that all begins to fall apart. But only because the sisters Jamie and Janie design a new kind of clothing for the Dragonmen. So they dress the same as one another, just no longer like everyone else.
I wonder how many humans here today only wear the clothes of their group, of their associates and friends, whether it’s a uniform or not.
