Human Response

When faced with another species, intelligent and different from us, as humans would we be welcoming and friendly? I think it would depend entirely on the confidence of the humans. Some would immediately see the threat, others the benefits. Some would be welcoming, others cautious and I think the confident would assess strength and weaknesses before making a decision. Of course I also think the decision process would be done without conversation or even an outward sign. No sense in antagonizing a future friend or enemy. Humans are savvy when it comes to survival and the dragons of NewEarth are much the same. Which do you think is superior, the humans or the dragons?
