Home Inspection
Well, life is interesting… there had been no previous reports of radon or lead, no previous reports lulled us into a false sense of security. The previous owners had lived there a long time, since before radon was a known carcinogen and cause for lung cancer. So our plan is to have it mitigated, evicted and a system put in to keep it moving out, since it seeps up from under ground.
We are glad we got the test even though it seemed unlikely with no previous reports, but sometimes insurance pays off. It will not be particularly expensive or difficult to have a system installed, at least we do not think so. As we move through the process I will share our findings.
This gas is almost like having a pet ghost with gas… only worse. More like an invisible, odorless gobblin that breaks down to radioactive parts, lurking in the basement, filling up your house, sweeping into your cells and disrupting your health while you sleep, eat and live your life. A ghost is at least easier to identify, doesn’t contaminate everything.
In the meantime all systems are go, we are moving forward, finishing the formatting and wrapping of book 6. Serious and dedicated packing begins on Thursday or Friday, after the book is released and launched.
