Grabon’s Friends

Grabon has many friends, but when he realizes that Rok, Pit, Thane, Brom, and Griss are flying into his territory he is suddenly nervous. He has a few reasons and even as humans we can understand them. First off these are older, tough dragons who have watched him mature and always half threatened, half teased that they would settle down and join a clan all together when he finally matured and claimed a territory of his own.

These five fighters had been barred from visiting as a group a number of territories because when they all got together they tended to have so much fun that other territory dragons found them disruptive.

Another cause for concern is that while Grabon was always thrilled by their acceptance and friendship, he has no idea if they will either able to accept him as a territory dragon. He didn’t need a false display of submission but they had to follow his rules.

The deception that he and Heron used to keep his companion safe could be seen as a lack of trust, when in fact it was security and survival. Would they understand? Could they accept a human as part of their clan? How were they going to feel about Gordon and Hanna?

His anxiety is real and he was very concerned.
