Grabon and the Youngsters

Whether human or dragon, Grabon has an obvious enjoyment of youngsters and youth. He plays with them, an unusual practice for a territory dragon, but he has no shame in the practice. As a matter of course, he includes the youngsters in clan activities, planning for them as well as any other member of his clan. Do you think this is because of Trissy’s Rule or because he always intended to treat youngsters as members of his clan, and not merely extensions of their parents?

What is Trissy’s Rule? Oh, remember in book 2 when Trissy realized that in dragon culture a new youth at fifteen cycles is kicked out of the nest, and out of their home territory to go explore the world? She was determined that no youth, human or dragon would ever be expelled from Grabon’s Territory, certainly no child of hers. To get her way, she demanded that Grabon make a rule. It became known by everyone as Trissy’s rule and the story of her demanding such an outrageous thing became legend.
