Gordon

Gordon is the type of character that sometimes makes you want to grit your teeth, because he exudes male arrogance, yet whenever Hanna needs anything, he simply does it. His power and size should scare Hanna to death after all she has been through, but truthfully, nothing seems to scare her much besides a storm and prowling hungry putons.

With the dragons and other males in the territory, especially as it grows and fills with power, he fits in well. Gordon works hard, he is generous, intelligent, willing to look at new ideas, and confident. As the story develops from book to book, Gordon’s character grows and stretches so the reader can see even more of him.

When Hanna has her first child, Kenseth, it is not apparent at first how much that changes both of them. It does, of course, and it shows later as the stories continue. What kind of father do you think Gordon would be? Would he be strict, permissive, or understanding and sympathetic?
