Glinarca

I love inventing characters, but Glinarca is a favorite of mine. She is a dominant female dragon who is a strategist. For those who don’t know, a strategist is someone with the psychic connection to the planet which allows them to find the best solution to a problem through a sea of obstacles. Glinarca can think and plan her way out of anything. When she found herself pregnant and unmarked, she did not want to abort and she was not leaving her youngster with a territory dragon, so she thought of a solution nobody would expect, she wandered into the mountains and settled comfortable in a good cave.

It would have been perfect, except she was out hunting in a storm when she went into labor. There was a heartsinger in one of the caves and she was hoping to locate her before she gave birth. The feel of her songs added to her courage and helped her concentrate when the contractions stranded her away from her cave.

Imagine her surprise as she was screaming in pain when small human guided her into a small nearby cave. It was a shelter from the violent storm and a safe place to deliver her youngster. Glinarca delivered Sim with the awareness that this human female helping her was the heartsinger she had been searching for. As soon as she was able she carried her youngster to the safety of her own nest, leaving the human heartsinger to hide when she woke. When she found her again in Grabon’s territory, she was relieved that she was healthy, happily mated to a fighter, and well protected.

Glinarca is not a main character, but a reader can learn a lot about her by listening as the others tell their stories. While she has not gotten a book of her own, she did find her mate, and they are happily settled in Grabon’s territory adding to their mission and joining the others in building something extraordinary.
