Elections

If you are an American, please vote today. I really don’t care about your political convictions, but please participate in the process. By using your rights, you protect them. Too many Americans have lived with rights for so long, they have forgotten how fundamentally important all those rights are and when they are threatened some of them are willing to shrug and go on with their lives.

A friend, a young man who is often discriminated against because he is not “regular” asked when do we start fighting back, burning shit down. I answered, not until they come dragging people out onto the streets, until then use the system, fight back legally, peacefully. But we have certain groups in this great country of ours that are worried about being legislated against. That makes this a dangerous time, and something many complacent people do not feel – and are not concerned about.

People on all sides are passionate. That is good, that makes democracy work, it is the ones who block it all out, do not care, or decide because of some odd sound bite, not to vote, not to participate.

As for those being blocked from voting by political crap, scream, make noise and get it out there on social media, on mainstream news. Do not quietly give up your right to vote, your voice, and place in our society just because some groups are legislating against you.

To all Americans, “We the people, in order to create a more perfect union,” need to get out and vote today!
