Drumming for the Planet

Pia, Grabon’s mate, uses a drum to express the thoughts and feelings of the planet, much like a Heartsinger to draw out the emotions of others. Her connection to the planet is strong and it is an ability rarely seen among dragons.

As is often the case with anything different, she was ridiculed, isolated, and made to feel that her music was not good enough. It isn’t until she is in the right place with the right people that the full power of her talent is discovered and set free. From there, as the stories develop and she matures, her power and connection strengthen and new applications of her ability are discovered.

Pia is in a unique position to influence the growth of the territory, but because of her lack of experience and self confidence, it takes her some time to realize that. In future books watch for her establishing alliances and relationships that help her influence the direction of the clan.
