Dragon’s on Humans
When the dragons first encountered the newly arrived humans, they saw them as beasts, fearful, gibbering, and hiding from everything. When offered a proper greeting the humans cowered and tried to kill the dragon who first approached.
Since the humans were new arrivals they had no psychic abilities, they did not know that the flying creature was communicating and offering a greeting. But from the dragon perspective, they must have been brought by a superior species to be sheltered by their planet and themselves.
With that in mind, the dragons gave the new creatures time to settle, to grow accustomed, and observed them from a distance. Many were convinced that they came from a planet that had been destroyed, others were sure that they were the simpler examples of their species and were set aside to live in communities for their own safety.
There were a few dragons that thought they could be from a differently intelligent species, but none believed the planet would bond with them. After all they were inferior, weak, susceptible to weather, and unable to erect basic shields for protection.
When a promising young territory dragon claimed the white haired human was a pet, many dragons grew curious, but none suspected the keen intelligence underneath Heron’s wild hair.
