Dima: Dragon Council Member

In book 6, Acceptance, Lars and Porter are on a mission and meet Dima, a council member. Lars of course knows her, but Porter has never had that pleasure. To complicate matters, she has never met a human. He offers her tea, as they have hot water on the fire, and she accepts, obviously curious.

The older dragon takes a single sip and then pours the rest out on the ground before handing the cup back to Porter.

Later she claims she was only attempting to provoke a reaction, not issue a major insult. However, Dima is no shrinking female, she is not in the least bit differential. Instead she is arrogant, confident, and oozing with power.

Admitting that she wronged Lars and offering restitution is difficult for her, partially because she thinks he might not be well suited to the task he has taken on, but she freely admits that does not excuse her oversite of his needs. What she offers to him in order to make that right is an amazing opportunity.

Later in the story when a mistake that occurred in her territory to one of her people comes to light, Dima is furious. However she also immediately investigates, takes responsibility and makes reparations.

Dima is a character that will return again and again to the Combined Territories, so feel free to share your observations.
