Creative Ideas

Someone who doesn’t know me very well commented that I was just full of ideas. I smiled, walked away and thought to myself, “you have no idea.” I know other people think, solve problems, and use their imagination; but I would guess that my thought process would make most people pull out their hair.

For instance, I was heading out to work and wondering how a dragon would take to being in an airplane. I mean besides the obvious size issues, toileting challenges and lack of food, there is the whole trust someone else’s wings.

If a dragon might have trouble with a plane, how would he feel about a helicopter? My mind started on that dialog when the driver in front of me turned without signaling and I lost track of where I was going.

I was passing the corn fields and imagined land sharks, some form of indigenous predator that lived in the corn eating the mice and skimming along the surface of the corn. We could use some land sharks to keep the rodent population down. I wonder what they should look like?

A trucker was going the other way and I couldn’t help but imagine the story tellers of a different civilization describing the way we move goods from coast to coast, across oceans and land masses and what kinds of goods we valued as opposed to what good were necessary. I had a good list going.

Then I came to the round-a-bout, 10 minutes from where I began. So yes, I am full of ideas, all kinds of ideas, but some of them are not practical, others are fanciful, and the best ones make things easier for everyone.

Have a great day and maybe read a book!

You are so right…they really have no idea!!! I tend to learn a myriad of new things in much the same way. I actually have people who know me well enough to ask what I am studying today. I have learned a great deal without the expense of school and find if I am learning it I will have a need for it. My favorite activity is picking other people’s brains for more knowledge…you have always had an extraordinary talent and it is so cool to watch it manifest in such a way!
