Cows
Our house is surrounded by cows. Some of them are clever, some are sweet and some are stubborn enough to argue with a tree. It is amazing the range of personality traits one can observe from a cow who wanders the fields, eats grass, hay and feed. She looks after her baby, watches over the others in the herd, has special friendships, enemies and picks arguments with both, seemingly over no reason. It is odd how such traits can be found among cows, but they can. Is it instinct or choice that leads to personality traits?
