Candied Lemon πŸ‹

I’m not sure why, maybe to celebrate spring, or because I had gotten a bag of lemons on sale, but I got up one morning this week and decided to candy some lemon slices. It’s an easy process, put a little water in a nonstick pan, add sugar, enough so it cannot desolve, add the lemon slices, then turn up the heat to a slow boil, making a syrup. Cook the lemon slices in the syrup that forms. You can add other flavors before boiling, but I don’t. You can lay them out flat or twist into shapes before cooling. Some people roll them in sugar. Candied lemons are perfect in tea, πŸ‹ and lime drinks 🍹 and as a garnish. You can do the same with orange slices.

Happy Springtime everyone!πŸ’
