Brave Bulls Square Off
We live on a farm and our front porch gives us a great observation platform to watch the happenings and write dialog. The other morning the two bulls went head to head. One of them is significantly older and bigger than the other and always, always wins. It may be a year or two before the small one is a threat, but we’ll see. Anyway they are head to head, pawing the ground, snorting and kicking up a significant amount of dust. The little one stumbled back several steps, stretched his neck and licked the big one’s nose. I am not talking a little cow smooch here, but a big wet one all across his nose. Blinking in surprise the big one backed off, shook his head, said something in bullish communication and they walked off together to pester the cows.
