Boot Hunting

Since Novemeber when the snow started to fall I have been looking at boots. I have rugged boots, but they are ugly. My pretty boots no longer fit due to foot spread. It caught me by surprise but now I know that most women after fifty change their foot size and shoe size. I went from a 71/2 to a 9 from this phenomenon, so my old shoes and boots mostly no longer fit. Well the rugged ones do, but I could always wear those with five pairs of socks. I ordered them by catalog and ordered a 71/2 it came in men’s as opposed to women’s, but we were on an island, the only way in or out was by plane. I needed boots.

When we moved to town, I bought pretty, warm boots and I loved them, then we moved to the lower 48 and my feet grew. So I have been hunting for boots. Today I bought the first pair. I have been looking at another pair on line. What kind of boots do you wear? Mine need to be water proof, flat, good traction and warm. Pretty is another requirement, because I am done with ugly functional clothes.

I can’t wear boots anymore, since I need to wear my special ortho shoes. So, after a snowy year, they tend to have white salt marks. Pretty, they are not!! My days
of pretty shoes and boots are behind me.
