Book 7
A month ago I sent book 7 off to the editor knowing I would be editing in a sea of boxes in order to get the book done and ready for a January 10, 2019 release date. Jo, my very talented editor, was having family tragedy of her own at the time and was attending her sick grandmother during her final days.
I finally heard from Jo after a month of silence. She is beginning the first round and I have more time to get house and home settled before the craziness of editing sets in. Since I do so much work on the manuscripts prior to sending them in, I am hoping to escape any major rewrites, but we will see. Brom and Mox deserve the best storyteller and I will do whatever it takes to bring their amazing story out and shine a bright light on them, if only for a moment.
To give a brief summery of my upcoming NewEarth7:The Hunter, Brom is a single father, contributing to Grabon and Heron’s territories in all the ways he knows how. Unlike some of the other dragons and even the humans, he does not have an outstanding talent or something that sets him wildly apart from everyone. Instead, he has refined and elevated many traditional skills to an art form. Brom processes and tans hides, he makes tools- like the knife he is holding on the cover, and he sells them in the Combined Territory Market. He is a fighter, challenge winner, and has a good deal of power and connection to the planet. Most of all, Brom is a father, a loving papa to Starseth and he would cut off his own tail to see her happy and raised to be a good, kind, and loyal dragon.
Mox is a healer chasing diseases, attempting to eradicate the worst of those germs that infect the dragons that inhabit the planet. Her talent is extraordinary, dangerous, and leaves her vulnerable. She flies into the Combined Territories hunting one disease, finds another, and unexpectedly meets Brom. She believes that her talent keeps her unmatable, unlovable, and poorly suited to clan acceptance. The planet shows her how wrong those assumptions are and Bonds these two lonely hearts together.
As with all my books, there are many other storylines and details that I will leave you to discover. Happy reading!
