Blogging for Fun

Being an author means knowing how to get in your head and letting the words flow, even when what comes out is total garbage. I have always had a surplus of words rattling around in my head, aching and straining to get out. So generating ideas and enough verbiage has never been my issue, however, controlling the direction of those words and thoughts has been the challenge of my life.

Those of you who have been following me for a while, may have noticed that during periods of grief, I quit writing for the public. Well this is my attempt to pick it up again. Nobody ever said my timing was great, but finally my thinking is recovered enough that I am not afraid of hidden shades of meaning creeping out.

It seems fitting that on the night before an historic election for the USA, I decided to reopen my blog, talking about a world distant and different, yet eerily similar in unexpected ways. Yes, I am talking about the Combined Territories, the NewEarth world where dragons and humans are working diligently to prevent a species conflict between the planet’s first people, the dragons, and her new adoptees, the humans. That wonderful green sky world where the powerful have strong bonds to the planet and the skilled and talented have practiced an ability until it shines. It is a world filled with hope, new ideas, and plenty of conflict and risk; not unlike our own world.
