Awandering

The whole idea of youth awandering to educate themselves is based on a student directed education approach, where students decide what they want to learn. Picking when and how they want to prioritize and direct their education. This is in opposition to a mass scheduled system designed to push through millions of youth at a time and reach the basic 80-85% leaving the needs of the top and bottom 10% relatively unaddressed. No kidding I was a teacher for a lot of years and it influenced my writing.

In any case, the system the dragons of NewEarth use is one where each youth follows their own interest and learns what they think they need. As the readers will find out in later books, the needs of those top and bottom percents are also addressed in their system. The dragon system has the advantage of having highly motivated youth, eager to learn. I’ll leave you to discover and identify the problems with that system.
