Alergy to Infection

It is no great mystery how the body can move from an allergic reaction to an infection. My sinuses do this in spring, if I don’t pay attention. Well, I guess I wasn’t paying enough attention, with 50-degree weather changes and storms going this way and that. In any case, I needed an antibiotic in a bad way. Fortunately I have insurance that covers telehealth for situations just like this. I got my prescription, but before it got better, it got worse.

Have you ever had a sinus infection make your eyes squishy? Yep it is gross beyond description, so I’ll save you the details, but I stayed home from work so I could be gross at home. All that pressure also causes a headache, a dull throb so if feels like your face is coming off.

Now my wonderful husband, and I say this with no sarcasm, is supportive and concerned. However, he very much enjoys that my brain works at only half speed when I sick

. My attention wanders worse than usual, and I am easily confused. I cannot imagine why this amuses him.

Hopefully, tomorrow will see my thinking restored and I’ll either laugh with him or be mad. My guess is I’ll find it amusing. Here is to fuzzy heads and recovery. Take care of yourselves and watch those spring allergies.
