Cold and Extreams.
As the outside temps go south and everything becomes brittle; there are few things as comforting as a warm stove, a kettle of boiling water, and a hot cup of tea. The humans in my stories introduce this comfort to the dragons of their territory and much to the dragons astonishment, the tradition catches on.
Everyone who lives in a cold climate has their frigid temperature drink, their sweater, blanket, or spot. They have a special way to prep their dwelling, ensure that water stays liquid, and flesh stays soft. The dragons have their ways and the humans have their own and as they live in close proximity they share their quest for comfort, warmth, and safety.
Here on earth we have those facing extremes all the time; fires, floods, frigid cold, and quakes and tsunamis. May they all find comfort and joy in the simple things and may they find friends to share that comfort with along the way.
