Hot Tub?
Save the hot tub! That is a new mission. So the farm we are inheriting has an old dilapidated pool and pool house. Inside the falling-down pool house is a giant eight-person hot tub. The floor supports for the building are at a slant. The building inspector when my folks bought the place told them not to fill the hot tub. The weight could topple the building. Well, I happen to love hot tubs, so we are taking steps to save the hot tub before the building it’s in falls down.
The tub looks to be in good shape. The cover needs some work and it all needs to be cleaned. We’re going to have to remove a wall to get it out, but the building is falling down anyway. They must have built the building around the tub, or remodeled the door. It cannot fit through the door, it is too tall, too wide, too big. We had them level ground and put down rock near the house. This next week we are having the wiring changed and pulled from the pool house. Then we are reusing what we can. We won’t know if it works until it is moved, connected, and filled with water. Crossing our fingers is the best we can do.
Fortunately, there are a number of companies that service hot tubs, so if it needs some repairs, we have experts we can find. Stand by for the next update on the mission; save the hot tub!
