Planning Ahead

I don’t know about the rest of you, but we make all kinds of plans. We make plans for if this happens and plans for if that happens. Inevitably something unexpected comes up and we make plans for that. People are always amazed that we can hang loose the way we do, until they realize that waiting is part of our plan, to see what else happens.

The truth is we have more experience. Not only are we older, we have had a lot of things go wonky on us. Maybe because we are a little adventurous, or maybe because we have always been so active in our pursuit of the interesting. No matter why it happens, we have had more than our fair share of shit.

The silver lining of that cloud is that we know how to cope with a lot of setbacks, complications, and strange happenings. Thank goodness we have each other because anyone else wouldn’t be half as much fun. That has always been my secret weapon, I have good people to find trouble with and great people to turn to when everything goes south. My best partner is Shawn, but I also have my brothers, a few close friends, and plenty of people to laugh with about it afterwards.

If you happen to be a trouble magnet, or are just a bit of an adventurer, I recommend having a tribe of people who identify, cheer you on, and are able and willing to lend a hand when needed.

Of course you should bring along a book and read to a happy place! 😁🤪😁
