Finding a Mate

The journey that the dragons face in finding a mate, that one compatible mind that can link with yours is almost an impossible task, yet most dragons make the attempt. Male and female, dominant or submissive, they begin to look, to search, to define what they believe the planet would seek for them.

Some give up and settle for a chosen companion, someone to share their life, their nest, their future. Different from a companion bond, but still a deep commitment, in fact closer to a human marriage.

As humans develop the ability to form a mating bond, will they look, search, and hope for it? Will they surrender that much power to the planet? Instead will they be content to find someone to share their home, their future, and their resources? Will they ignore or avoid the instinct that will drive them to find the perfect match? Having met a potential mate will humans use the instinct to secure the bond or will they individually choose to embrace or avoid?
